Terms and conditions
Driver’s age
The minimum age toΒ rent a car in ParosΒ from Best Paros Rentals is 24 years. For ATVs and Scooters, the driver must be at least 25 years old.
Driver’s License
The driving license must be issued at least one year before the pick-up date.
National driving licenses issued in E.U., United Kingdom, North Ireland, USA, Canada, & Australia are accepted.
Citizens of all other countries must have a valid International Driver’s License along with their National Driver’s License.
Advance payment amountDriver’s age

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners & Discover.
All card payments are processed through the electronic payment platform “Nexi e-Commerce” of Nexi Payments Greece S.A., which uses encryption TLS 1.2 with encryption protocol 128-bit (Secure Sockets LayerβSSL). Encryption is a way of coding information until it reaches its recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.
The advance amount can also be deposited into our bank account.
Balance Amount
The remaining amount can be paid in cash, credit, debit, or prepaid card when you pick up the vehicle.
Warranty amounts β Security Deposit for all vehicles
The security deposit amount depends on the chosen insurance package. When picking up the vehicle, the driver must have a credit or debit card, which will be used for the security deposit. The amount of the security deposit will be reserved from this card. This amount will no longer be available for immediate use on your card. This amount will be returned in full at the end of the rental as long as no other charges arise. The release time of the amount depends on the issuing bank of the card and not on our company. We release the security deposit amount immediately at the end of the rental.
Alternatively, cash can be used for the security deposit amount.
Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions
The renter must pay traffic fines or any administrative sanctions that may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law. The renter can pay the fines in cash or with a credit card. If any fine becomes required after the rental period, our company will charge the renter’s credit card the amount of the fine.
If the police or other authority removes the registration plates during the rental, the renter must compensate our company immediately. The compensation amount will be calculated by multiplying the total number of days that the vehicle will be without registration plates by the per-day rental price from the current season.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your reservation, you have to send a cancellation notice email and receive an answer that we received your cancellation notice.
- If the reservation is canceled (for any reason) up to 15 days before arrival, the deposit is 100% refunded.
- If the reservation is canceled (for any reason) within the last 14 days before arrival, the deposit is NOT refundable.
- If the renter does not meet the rental conditions (driving license, age, credit card), Best Paros Rentals is not responsible and has the option to cancel the reservation without refunding the deposit.
It is noted that our company is not responsible for cancellations or ship or plane delays. In any such case, the renter must inform the company in time of any modification or change of his reservation.
No Show
The deposit is NOT refunded if the renter does not show up on the agreed day and time at the agreed location to pick up the vehicle without having previously informed the company to modify the reservation.
Fuel Policy
The renter must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as delivered. If the return fuel level is less he will be charged the difference. If the return fuel level is more there is no money return.
Insurances
Basic Insurance Package for Cars, Scoters, ATVs
The basic insurance package is included in the rental price. With this package, all authorized drivers are insured against third-party liability for death, bodily injury, and property damage.
With the basic insurance package, the renter’s liability for damages to the rental vehicle varies depending on the vehicle’s type, and the excess amount is from 850β¬ plus VAT to 1600β¬ plus VAT.
- For car groups A, A1, A2, B. B plus, C, C plus, C1, C2, D, D1, D2, D3 & E the excess amount is 850β¬.
- For car groups F, G & L the excess amount is1600β¬.
- For the scooter, the excess amount is 850β¬.
- For the ATV the excess amount is 950β¬.
An excess amount of 850β¬ + VAT means that in the event of an accident or damage:
Over 850β¬ + VAT you will be asked to pay 850β¬ + VAT.
Below 850β¬ + VAT, you will be asked to pay the total amount of the damage, including VAT.

The Medium car insurance package is available at an additional cost and includes:

If the renter does not wish to choose the medium or the full insurance package in which glass insurance is included, he can choose only glass insurance with No Excess Amount. The insurance is provided for an additional fee and completely exempts the renter from the excess amount in case of crystal breakage.
Theft Insurance for Cars with No Excess Amount
If the renter does not wish to choose the medium or the full insurance package in which theft insurance is included, he can choose only theft insurance with No Excess Amount. Theft insurance is provided for an additional fee and covers you only in case of total theft in Paros and Antiparos. It does not cover partial theft and theft of the renter’s personal belongings from the vehicle.

What is not covered by any insurance
- Damages caused by a driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Damages caused by an unauthorized driver.
- Damages in the interior of the vehicle
- Damages that were caused because the vehicle was illegally parked
- Damages due to traffic law violation.
- Damages due to inappropriate driving, negligence, or intentional.
- Damages to the engine by wrong fuel or negligence.
- Damages were caused because the vehicle was used off-road or on inappropriate roads (e.g., unpaved roads, dirt roads, beaches).
- Damages that were caused after the agreed return time.
- Damage to the mirrors.
- Damages or loss of tires, rims, and hubcaps.
- Damages to the underside of the vehicle.
- Damages or loss of the antenna
- Damages caused willfully or recklessly by the renter, e.g. (burning out the clutch, burning out the tires, sitting or standing on the bonnet, or the roof or the boot lid of the vehicle, etc.)
- If the renter at the time of the accident does not notify our company and the police
- Loss of personal items
- Loss, damage, or theft of vehicle keys
- Loss or damage of child seats, jack, safety triangle, spare wheel, petrol cap, or any accessories which are provided by the rental company.
Additional Cleaning Fee
It is applied if, upon its return, the vehicle needs cleaning beyond the usual. The biological cleaning fee is 80β¬. In cases where we need to clean only one seat or a children’s seat and not all the seats, all the interior, the charge is 35β¬.
Ferrying the car
It is not allowed, except for the Paros β Antiparos line ship
Important Info
At the rental point, you will sign a rental agreement before you get the key. It is important that you read the agreement carefully. If anything is unclear, discuss it with the staff before signing.
Best Paros Rentals reserves the right to refuse you a vehicle if, in the opinion of the staff, the driver is unfit to drive or any member of the group is violent, threatening, or in any way endangering the health and safety of other people. In such event, you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
Before you leave, you must check the vehicle and make sure you report any damage to the staff (to serve you better, it’s a good idea to take pictures or video of the vehicle)
Our company is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.
Our company has the right to cancel the rental agreement without any consequences if the renter is considered harmful to the company’s interests or violates either the traffic laws or the rental terms.
